Homersfield Church Wood is a valued community woodland located close to St Mary’s Church in the centre of the village. The site provides a peaceful setting for informal recreation and quiet reflection, while also supporting a diverse range of native trees, ground flora and wildlife.

The Wood contributes positively to local biodiversity and forms part of the Parish’s wider green infrastructure. Mature trees, natural regeneration and seasonal wildflowers create a changing landscape throughout the year and offer habitat for birds, invertebrates and small mammals.

Homersfield Parish Council is committed to managing the site responsibly, with regular inspections and maintenance undertaken to ensure public safety and the long term health of the woodland. Any works are carried out with due regard to wildlife legislation and good arboricultural practice.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the Wood respectfully, helping to preserve this important natural asset for future generations.
